Basic Granular Staff Access Permissions in ClickFunnels
As a ClickFunnels user, I’ve encountered a critical issue with staff access permissions. The current system lacks the ability to restrict staff access to specific areas of the platform. Even the most basic customer service access grants visibility to: Analytics: Company revenue, sales figures, and performance metrics. Funnels Overview: Surface details of all active funnels (names, stats, etc.). Marketing Tools: Email campaigns and other sensitive areas unrelated to their role. This creates serious concerns for businesses, especially small teams like mine where staff are hired to perform specific tasks, such as fulfilling customer orders, without needing access to sensitive sales or marketing data. Use Case Example: I have one staff member whose sole responsibility is to handle order fulfillment. To do this effectively, they only need access to: Orders: Viewing order details, statuses, and customer information. Fulfillment Tools: Marking orders as fulfilled and tracking shipments. However, granting them the current "basic access" automatically exposes them to sales figures, funnel surface details, and other sensitive data that they do not need to see. This not only introduces unnecessary risks but also creates discomfort in delegating tasks efficiently. ----Proposed Solution: Introduce granular staff access permissions that allow workspace administrators to: Restrict Access by Tab: Enable or disable access to specific tabs such as Funnels, Analytics, Marketing Tools, etc. Provide Role-Specific Access: Allow staff to see only the features they need for their role (e.g., Orders and Fulfillment tools). Customizable Views: Hide sensitive company data like revenue, sales figures, and funnel performance, unless explicitly granted access. Why This Matters: ----Improved Security: Sensitive company data, such as revenue and marketing strategies, is protected from unnecessary exposure. Role-Based Efficiency: Staff can focus solely on their assigned tasks (e.g., fulfilling orders) without distractions from unrelated tabs or data. Business Scalability: Granular access allows businesses to confidently expand their teams while maintaining data security and operational control.
