Make PayPal steps clearer in cart
under review
Gene Monterastelli
It is unclear in the shopping cart that the person needs to click the yellow PayPal button to enter their PayPal info.
Every few weeks I hear from someone trying to check out that says the cart is saying "Missing Payment Information". But it not clear how they are supposed to fix that.
I understand the desire to keep the checkout as clean as possible, but the current design is so simple that it is unclear to many of my people

Improve PayPal on order forms
Bogdan Juncewicz
I've watched hundreds of screen recordings of people filling out my order forms & observed that the current PayPal setup can be confusing for people & lead to lose of sales for all CF2.0 users.
Obviously, I understand why you have to 'configure' their PayPal payment first (as it sets up automatic billing that enables one-click upsells later in the funnel)... however I think that the way that it's designed/shown on the page can be better.
Currently, after they return back from the PayPal popup/window & go back to the order form, they see this text (shown in attached screenshot) that says 'Your payment is configured'.
First off, this default font size on this text is tiny & can be easily missed.
Can you make the default font size bigger and/or add a setting that allows us as users to customize this size (or connect it to one of the other 'font sizes' on the order where if that size is adjusted, this font sizes is adjusted accordingly too.)
I would also change the text itself to be clearer...
For example 'Your PayPal payment method has been configured. Click the '(DYNAMIC BUTTON TEXT') button below to place your order today'.
(or even without the Dynamic filling on what the order button below says just saying 'Scroll down & click the button below to place your order' would be much clearer/improve conversions.)
I've received dozens of emails myself from people saying that they've seen this 'your payment is configured' text meaning that they setup their payment but their order never went through as they didn't think to scroll to the bottom & click a 2nd confirmation button (thousands if not tens of thousands I estimate we've lost in revenue from this based on number of such emails I've received.).
Customers just assume once 'payment is configured', the order is placed but it's not & they have to scroll & click the actual order button.
I love the PayPal option available in CF2.0 & love that you managed to make it work with the upsell functionality (the layout on order forms is also really clean.)
^ The missing step is just this improvement in what/how this message is displayed after PayPal in configured. Thanks

Hey Gene Monterastelli Thank you for your feedback and adding this request. That's a great suggestion. We'll be sure to keep this open for others to vote on and for our dev team to review.
I may be able to help with some clarifying questions. Do you have Paypal set as the default payment method?
If so, then it would be autoselected and therefore they don't see the need to click it, which would open the PP modal. I would move it away from default so customers have to click it. Please let me know if that is the case. Thanks!

David Lamoureux (Product Support Analyst) I have cc as the default.
I don't understand how the what is default impacts this.

Gene Monterastelli: Thanks for your response. Darn, I was hoping that would be the easy solve. If PP was your default, then it would have been pre-selected and the customer may not know they need to do anything else.
What you could do is add a warning text near the payment area, like this: I just added a paragraph element inside the checkout element with instruction. I also added the warning icon before the text to get attention. Is this method enough to satisfy this request?
Gene Monterastelli
David Lamoureux (Product Support Analyst) That is a short term fix, but anytime the solution to a design issue is "you need to remember to add extra text every time you create a shopping cart element" that isn't the best thing

Gene Monterastelli: True. I agree with you.

please fix this! I would love to be able to choose if I want to set it up for future payments or that people could just buy through the paypal button!! Because for our business model right now I don't need to set it up for future payments.
Thanks!!
