Ability to add "Individual Notes" in a contact's profile
under review
Chris Strickland
I would love the ability to add a note to a contacts profile outside of bulk notes and notes in the opportunity section. After I speak with a contact and gain relevant insights I would love to record those notes even if they are not a specific opportunity. I had this flexibility in other CRM's and it's invaluable. For instance I'm talking to someone and taking notes about their house. Bedrooms, bathrooms, repairs needed, etc. Random notes.

Custom Fields - Notes and More
Heather Majors
In the CRM module we technically have the option to add custom fields but what we can do with them is very limited. One key requirement would be the option to add a notes field that can show more than a few words before it runs off the page in the little box. And you should be able to use it more than once. Here is a use case:
I should be able to add a long form field to take notes about customer interactions and keep track of the business relationship. This should be a long text field that expands as I add more information. Today I typed a note that had 30 words. The first 8 were visible on the screen and the rest are basically hidden because the field acts as short text. When I tried to add an additional comment there was no paragraph return for a new line. If I want to add more customer info I have to have a huge run on paragraph that is near impossible to read 8 words at a time.
My second try was to simply add the text field more than once. However, it is hard coded to NO for allow it to be used multiple times.
What if the point of a CRM if I cannot track my customers journey?
Click Funnels advertises as a one stop shop for all your software needs, you don't need to buy multiple subscriptions to run a business. You do have multiple app but all of them seem to have limited capability at best. If a person wants the robust features found in other applications, they still need multiple subscriptions.

Hey Heather Majors Thank you for your feedback and adding this request. We'll be sure to leave this open for others to vote on and for our dev team to review.
You might be talking about adding notes in a Contact's Profile, in which case you would be interested to know this request already exists: https://feedback.myclickfunnels.com/feature-requests/p/ability-to-add-individual-notes-in-a-contacts-profile
I will merge this request with that one soon but wanted to get you this message first.
In the meantime, I have some tips that may help you:
I just went to the Opportunities card section and found the notes field expanded as I typed. This method won't save the notes to the contact's profile, but it will stick with the Opportunity card. Great for a sales journey.
Also I went to the Message hub area and the notes section is huge there. That may be a better option for you for now.
If you have any questions about this please reach out to our support team for help. Thank you for your cooperation and enthusiasm!

Thank you for your suggestions about Opportunities and message hub. Message hub specifically was not on my list until today as it is in beta. If you somehow got me access, thanks.

Heather Majors: Thanks for your response. To my best knowledge, MessageHub is not in beta, it is in full swing and has been for some time now. May I ask, what made you think it is in beta? Thank you, looking forward to your response.
Heather Majors
David Lamoureux (Product Support Analyst) When I added it to my workspace the app said Message Hub Beta on the page where you go to add app, watch the vide for what it is about, then click add app.

Heather Majors: Ok thank you for surfacing that. That may be needing a display update. I'll reach up about that. You were able to get access to use Message Hub though correct?
Heather Majors
David Lamoureux (Product Support Analyst) Yes I was able to access the message hub. Thank you.

Heather Majors: Ok great. I hope the Message Hub or Opportunities notes works for you for now.
There is one more place you can add notes. It is in the Contact's Activity tab. One note with this method, this method places the note in the activity timeline and so it will get pushed down as more activities are taken.
I will now go ahead and merge this request with the one I previously mentioned. Thanks for your responses and feedback.

Hey Nick Newsome, there is a "notes" functionality in the Opportunities/CRM app if you are already using that. Otherwise, you could create a Custom Attribute "note", and assign it to contacts that you would take a note on, with the note text as the value of the custom attribute. Would that work for you?
Nick Newsome
Rich Steinmetz (ClickFunnels Engineering) Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, that works, although I had to dig a little to figure it out. Thanks for your help!

Using CF2.0 as my new database for contacts and my main CRM, I haven't seen the ability to add notes to a contact. Lets say I want to save some notes from a conversation, it would be amazing to have the ability to do so rather than using an entirely different database. Thank you for you help.
